January 26, 2015

We started the year 2015 in our new home.

A house is many things: a sanctuary, a dwelling of rest, a place to recharge. After a little over a year, God granted us the opportunity to move into this historic home. It’s a few blocks from our old place and it’s actually closer to our church. We had been praying for a bigger place for a few weeks. We were so content with where we were and yet I felt a tug on my heart to start asking in prayer for something more. The answer came quick and we moved throughout the month of December. During that time, another prayer was answered but it wasn’t until January 1st that we finally had him. Zeus is a year-old husky we rescued. He is the perfect addition to our little family and enjoys us very much. We are blessed to have him and our new home. We have only completed a few of the rooms but Louis and I have started planning a housewarming party in the next few weeks. We want our home to be an oasis, a quiet sanctuary, that we can offer to our friends and family whenever they’re in the area. In fact, our good friends from Westbrook Coffee were just here last week! It is amazing to be able to bless others with the gift of hospitality. Cannot wait to see what stories unfold from our little home!
For you, O Lord God, have spoken, and with your blessing shall the house of your servant be blessed forever.” 2 Samuel 7:29
