Motherhood is full of things you can’t control. One of them is how irresistible your baby becomes. All you want to do is snuggle until the end of time. That is true for Kenzie and her sweet baby boy. He is a cuddle bug! So much so that not even their Belgian Malinois, Akela, could withhold herself—she jumped in for some snuggles too.
We had this session pre-covid, when we had no idea how much life would change and I’m so glad we did it! Kenzie is one of my photographer besties. She has photographed my family a few times (including my very own maternity) so this was a treat for me to capture her sweet, growing family. Like most newborn sessions, they almost never happen. Moms don’t feel their best, babies are unpredictable and there’s hardly any strength left to schedule a session (aka team no sleep). And yet, when the decision is made and the date is set, it is so worth it! Babies change so much in the first few months.
Even during these strange times we are living, photos are important. More so than before.
Do yourself the favor and schedule a session with someone you trust,
who will abide by the safety guidelines and do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
